Matthew 7:7-14

Matthew 7:7-12
Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

- v12. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

So my question is now is, what is sum total of Life?
And the Spirit spoke: Life will give you discernment on when to apply this principle.

Also, I realised that from Matt 7 onwards, Jesus' teachings start to move away from exposing your self-righteousness, to focusing on Himself as the Messiah; somewhat like providing you a lifeline when you've reached the end of yourself.

Matthew 7:13-14
The Narrow Way

- NKJV v14. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

- AMP v14. "But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it."

Btw, "life" here is ZOE. The emphasis here is really on the very fine line that leads to zoe, as though to signify that there is only ONE way to experience LIFE and LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY.

Although it says few are those who "find" it, Jesus did say earlier on in verse 8 that "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
