- v21. "... for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]."
It just sorta hit me that Jesus' main purpose of coming down was not just to wash us clean of our sins and bring us to Heaven. Going to Heaven is only the so-called "by-product".
The main objective of the finished work, the "true END and SCOPE of life", is God. God is the reason and purpose of our everyday living. God is the centre and the totality of our life. And Jesus is the only link that "prevents us from failing and missing" God.
