we are tight with God

Genesis 18-19
Genesis 18 starts with God telling Abraham that he is going to have a child in his very very old age (an impossibility from man's point of view. isaac was a result of pure grace). then as it goes on, God doesnt want to keep His plans from Abraham. the God who is King of Kings, wants to tell mere mortal Abraham His plans. this is the kind of relationship righteousness and grace gives us. God is so tight with Abraham, He doesnt want to keep things from Him. then Abraham goes on to boldly ask God not to destroy the whole of Sodom and Gomorrah just for 10 people. Pastor said that even if Abraham went down to 1, God would have given him a positive response because Lot was there and i think so too. its a very nice picture of the relationship we can have with Jesus today. God will never withhold anything that we need to know from us. if Abraham didnt know that God was gonna destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, he wouldnt have negotiated and Lot wouldnt have been saved. take this chapter as something you can hold on to to know that God will take whatever it takes to get through to you what you need to know in every situation just so you can do the right thing.

Genesis 19
this is where the angels of God literally had to drag Lot out of Sodom and they said they cant do anything to those places until he was gone. notice Lot was still lingering around and slowly negotiating where to escape to? but simply because of His word to Abraham, He made sure that Lot was out and safe before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

go read these 2 chapters carefully. pretty good stuff in them
