Matthew 7:15-29

Matthew 7:21-23
I Never Knew You

- v21. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Checked out the meaning of "will". It's the Greek word, thelema, which means:

"what one wishes or has determined shall be done
- of the purpose of God to bless mankind through Christ
"

Matthew 7:25-29
Build on the Rock

- v25. “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

Interesting that "the" rock is used in NKJV and AMP. In the KJV, it says "a" rock. But when you check the Greek, rock here is "petra". And we all just heard Pastor teach recently about Matthew 16:16-18, where Peter confessed that Jesus is the Messiah (v16), and

- v17-18. Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter (petros - little stone), and on this rock (petra) I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

The same rock here refers to Peter's confession that Jesus Christ is the Messiah! So build your "house" (referred to as "life" by MSG) on Jesus, and when the winds come (btw, isn't it amazing that this is the same Greek word used for winds - anemos - used when Jesus walked on water), you will be unshakable in the midst of the storm!
