meditation of the day - food for the inner man

went swimming in the morning, but the amazing thing was before and after i swam it rained. and while i was swimming for that hour and a half God made the sun shine that i may spend time with Jesus. praise Jesus, He puts me in the right place at the right time. =) wanted time alone with Him, and He brought me to yesterday's verse during the zone, romans 5:17, where He led me to the verses before and after it:

romans 5:16-18
16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one
man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
i like how the message puts it:

"There's no comparison between that death-dealing sin and this generous, life-giving gift... Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, He got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right."

o death, where is your sting? praise Jesus, for He has given us a higher life! go on, RECEIVE the abundance of grace and gift of righteousness from Him. we throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that He has already thrown open his door to us.
